Member of Parliament for Epping Forest, Dr Neil Hudson, recently visited Loughton Cricket Club to tour its facilities and enjoy the Key Stage One 3 Tees Cricket Competition. Dr Hudson met the young players and presented medals to the talented participants.
A passionate cricket supporter and a playing member of the Lords and Commons Cricket Team, Dr Hudson was welcomed by Club Chairperson Cliff Greenhill, who led a tour showcasing the club’s impressive facilities, including its refurbished changing rooms and distinctive thatched roof.
During the visit, Dr Hudson shared memories of his own younger cricket days playing for Woodford Green Cricket Club, and the recent Lords and Commons Cricket Team match against the MCC, which wasn’t a close match!
Dr Neil Hudson, MP for Epping Forest, said:
"It was wonderful to see so many young folk enjoying cricket and developing their skills in such a friendly and supportive environment. Loughton Cricket Club is such a welcoming community club and a pivotal fixture in our area.
“I look forward to seeing the Club play in the future, and perhaps one day joining to play a match if selected!”
