I have to say I was absolutely appalled by the comparison the Prime Minister made between the tragic events unfolding in Ukraine and the British public voting to leave the European Union.
I cannot agree with the comments he made about the situation facing Ukraine being in any way similar to the Brexit vote. I think at this time we are looking for statesmanship and a move away from partisan political point scoring. I believe we should be united and our current efforts should be focused on supporting the Ukrainian people and helping the international community facilitate a peaceful resolution to this humanitarian catastrophe as quickly as possible.
