Dr Neil Hudson MP hosted an informative parliamentary event for fellow parliamentarians alongside the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA).
The primary objective of this event was to raise awareness and advocate for the protection of the veterinary nurse title through a comprehensive revision of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.
A qualified veterinary surgeon himself, Dr Hudson recognises the critical role veterinary nurses play in ensuring the wellbeing of animals and urged his parliamentary colleagues to take action.
The event brought together key advocates for the veterinary community with leading parliamentarians, of all political parties to discuss the urgent need for reform.
Protecting the title will help recognise the skilled and important work being done by qualified veterinary nurses.
